2016 Summary of Art

I've seen these so many times - and this year is the first year I drew something every month, so I can finally do one of my own .
With the exception of perhaps hair there is not much improvement to be seen during the last 12 months. I'm still stuck with portrait painting most of the time. That's something I try to change next year, practise more poses, more composition, more background and perhaps more animals.

The months more or less show what was on my mind during that time:
January of course the death of Alan Rickman, February I did a rewatch of one of my all-time favourite TV-Shows "American Gothic", March shows the birthday present for a dear friend of mine, April is the only painting without context, May I discovered the TV-series "Supernatural", June was the draw-everything-June Event by Senshistock, July was full of news about the soon-to-be-released album of my fav band Faun, August shows the reduced-colour-palette challenge from Improvement-Club, September was my go at speedpaint, Oktober of course was Inktober, from November on I listened a lot to the cover ballads and the Christmas songs of Peter Hollens, and December has the secret santa for the Improvement-Club.
